Help Center / Picking a training level
There are four training levels. Each one has 6 lessons. You pick a level for each person based on what they do at work.
You do not have to put everyone in the same level. Most companies use more than one.
This is the starting level. It covers what ITAR is, who has to follow it, and what happens when people break the rules by accident.
Pick this for workers who are not directly handling controlled parts or drawings but still work at the company. Front desk staff, shipping, and general office workers all fit here.
This level covers licenses, agreements, and how to handle technical data like drawings and files.
Pick this for people who touch controlled information as part of their job. Engineers, designers, and the staff who fill out license paperwork all fit here.
This level covers what happens when the government investigates, how audits work, and what to do when you find a problem and need to report it.
Pick this for the people who would handle a real problem if one came up.
This level covers how to build a compliance program, how to train your own staff, and what leaders are personally responsible for.
Pick this for anyone who runs a team or signs off on decisions.
Levels are not a ladder. Nobody has to finish Introduction before they can take Manager.
You can also give one person two or more levels. A compliance lead might take both Advanced and Manager. Each level they take is a separate seat, so two levels for one person costs two seats.
When in doubt, ask what the person touches. If they never see controlled drawings or parts, Introduction is enough. If they do, go to Intermediate or higher.
Adding people and picking their levels is free. You are not charged until you buy seats. So you can set everything up, look at the total, and change it before you pay.
You can also add more people and more levels later. You do not have to plan the whole year up front.
